Rewriting the Rules: Son of Byran Johnson, Talmage Johnson’s Personal Journey
Leaving behind the world he grew up in: "The biggest resistance I faced was probably when I first left the religion I was born into".
When I first interviewed Bryan Johnson a couple of years ago, I couldn’t help but wonder—what would it be like to grow up inside the Blueprint experiment? Not to start it at 45, but to live it from the beginning.
His son, Talmage Johnson, is the real test case for that question. At just 19, he adopted the full protocol, making him the youngest person to fully immerse himself in this radical pursuit of longevity.
Today, I sat down with Talmage himself, and nothing was off limits. When he walked into the studio in Los Angeles, he looked me in the eye and said, “Ask me anything.” So I did.
If you're new to the concept of the “5 Questions,” this is a conversation that takes place before the main interview begins. It’s my way of connecting more personally with the guest—getting beneath the surface before the mics are officially on.
Think of it as sitting quietly in the studio with us, catching a glimpse of who they really are beyond the bio.
In this week’s 5 Questions, Talmage shares what it’s been like to leave behind the world he grew up in, rebuild his reality from scratch, and devote himself to a life of discipline, health, and purpose — all before the age of 20. We talk about overcoming resistance, why prioritising sleep changed everything for him, and how learning to listen to the body (instead of just the mind) can shape the way we move through the world.
Talmage’s honesty, self-awareness, and heart blew me away. His answers are a reminder that health isn’t just about protocols — it’s about self-trust, intention, and being willing to choose a different path, even when it’s hard.

The full conversation drops tomorrow — but for now, I hope these five questions offer you some inspiration, reflection, and encouragement for wherever you are on your journey.
